What is Downtown Dollars?

Downtown Dollars is an incentive campaign whereby residents can obtain discounted “Downtown Dollars” at a local financial institution and spend them in the local downtown area. In other words, the resident pays $.90 cents for a $1.00 “Downtown Dollar”.

These dollars will then be transacted by consumers in all Business Improvement Association businesses at their discretion.

“Downtown Dollars”:

• Creates loyal customers for downtown merchants.
• In certain cases, the merchant can match the “Downtown Dollar” promotion discount and create even more value for their customers.
• Creates excitement and “Buzz” for the Business Improvement Association downtown merchants.
• Entices more consumers to shop downtown.
• Creates a greater sense of community.
