1. Set up a budget for this event that will cover:

  • The cost of the discounted dollars.
  • The advertising of the project.
  • Printing charges of the “Downtown Dollar” currency and posters.
  • The fee for Roy Prevost plus travel and accommodation.

2. Provide Roy Prevost with the following:

  • Names of the local media who could promote this event.
  • A meeting room to launch the program to the Business Improvement Association members/merchants.
  • A financial institution or institutions who will transact the “Downtown Dollars” within the community.

Who are the major stakeholders in the “Downtown Dollars” project?

  1. The Business Improvement Association, who co-ordinates the project, and covers the liability of the discounted “Downtown Dollar”.
  2. The financial institution, who transacts the dollars.
  3. The local media, who promote the project.
  4. The Business Improvement Association members, who participate in the event.
  5. Roy Prevost, who facilitates the entire process.
  6. The local community residents, who make it all possible!
